Plugin Info Extraction for WordPress Online Tool Launched
Ever needed a list of your plugins for pasting it into an email or a document? Or into an (Excel or Word or OpenOffice) table? I did, and with all the plugins I have installed, I concluded that writing it all down manually would seriously suck.
I did a bit of research, but found no plugins that do just that. Sure, there are plugins that can insert a plugin list into a post or a widget, but even if I could live with their output,1 the whole procedure» would be absolute overkill.
So I decided to implement this little tool right here on this website:
The WordPress PlugIn List / Table Generator
It is super-simple to use. Just visit the tool’s page and follow the instructions there.

Great idea. Strangely, didn’t work for me; gave an error of “Supplied text does not seem to contain WordPress plugin information.”.
I use google chrome, so select-all might perhaps take text elements which your input did not expect.

just to let you know, the “plugin central” plugin provides similar lists of used/installed plugins 🙂
Ovidiu, I know “Plugin Central”. I used it prior to WP 2.8. But thanks anyway. 🙂
The thing is, (a) it only provides a simple list, and (b), I’d hate to install a plugin only to obtain the list every now and than. It would be sitting there consuming resources for nothing 98% of the time. That’s why I figured an external tool would be the right answer.
