TOC Boxes Is SEO Table Of Contents
Yes, here is another release of the plugin formerly known as TOC Boxes, bringing some cool changes along.
Go get it at wordpress.org. It’s worth upgrading. 🙂
Widget Voodoo 1.0.2 Release
A minor update of Hackadelic Widget Voodoo is out. It fixes an issue with the Tag Cloud widget (and probably with others, too).
At the same time, I’ve corrected an “impurity” in the assignment of CSS classes, where the “collapsible” was attached to the title, instead the widget itself. Please change your CSS clauses Read more >>
Hackadelic Series 1.1.1 Bugfix Release: Uncle Tom’s Cabin
This release is a quick fix for a silly bug in the front-end, due to which the series drop-down menu had erroneously links to included unpublished posts (clicking on which would have resulted in a “404 page not found” error for a user with insufficient privileges to view such posts – that is, non-admin users basically).
Now unpublished posts are hidden from “normal” visitors, and shown in italic to users with edit privilege.
The back-end still shows every entry in a series, but I changed the formatting to match the above semantics.
Naturally, this immediately leads to the question: What about multi-user blogs, where not every user may be given permission to adjust custom fields. I will address this in a future release.
Sliding Notes 1.4 – Shadowchaser Release
I’m announcing a new release of my Sliding Notes plugin. It resolves a CSS conflict with Shadowbox JS , another popular WordPress plugin (hence the release name). At the same time, with this release I’m relieving the user from housekeeping the CSS parts that are vital to Sliding Notes function, but unrelated to its visual appearance.
TOC Boxes 1.1 Support Hyperlinks In Headings
My first version of Table Of Conten Boxes did not support hyperlinks in headings. That is, a hyperlink in a heading would mess up the TOC entry.1
Version 1.1 adds support for this.
Download the plug-in, or visit the plug-in homepage to find out more about it.
- Technically speaking, it would result in a nested anchor element, which is not valid (X)HTML, so that the browser would render only rubbish. [↩]
Sliding Notes 1.3 – Hot New “Presidential Oath” Release
I haven’t posted anything to my blog in the last week, and I had a good reason: I’ve been preparing a brand new release of Sliding Notes.
Since I published Sliding Notes the first time, I repeatedly had the chance to witness and help with its integration into existing, real world designs. One essential insight I gained from this was that Sliding Notes are being used (or their usage envisioned) in a much wider variety of contexts, than I initially imagined: In the side bar, the content, floating with the text, or stacked, initially collapsed or expanded…[toc class=toc-right/]
As a result of that experience, and just in time for Obama’s upcoming Presidential Oath of Office, I’m releasing a brand new version of the plug-in, packed with features that greatly ease the integration into existing website styles and concepts, as well as the combination of different usage patterns on the same site.
