Sliding Notes Major Upgrade
Today I’m releasing version 1.1.0 of Sliding Notes. This is a major rewrite of the plug-in and the beginning of the 1.1 series.
As a result, there’s a better handling of multi-paragraph notes with different paragraph formats for each paragraph. That is, it is easier to apply different formatting to surrounding and note paragraphs. (See the example below.)
The plug-in does not rely on the flawy Shortcode API any more. It’s been rewritten as a content filter and builds now upon regular expressions alone. This has proven to be the more reliable approach.
At the same time, I’m switchng from the “release candidate” version numbering scheme (X.YrcZ) to a simple X.Y.Z scheme, which seems to be the more common one around WordPress.
An Example
This is made with the visual editor alone, w/o switching to HTML mode:
Lorem ipsum cu vis clita nominati consulatu.» Sea fugit omnesque ut. Vim et reque iracundia, ullum oblique nominati no sit. Iusto dicit utamur ea his, cu pri nisl numquam, est postea verear legimus cu. Mel et reque alienum neglegentur, putent accusam consulatu et pro, eam nibh perfecto posidonium te. Eu legere maiestatis vim, elitr dicam dignissim duo ut.
